Send us your cassettes or minidiscs and we copy their content onto CD; this way your music and songs are protected from friction and continuous usage, and are copied onto a more flexibel media.
In addition, we try to remove background noise, cracks and hiss from the
recording.
Two different kinds of CDs can be created:
A CD with two pieces (tracks of files): one for side A, the
other for side B of the cassette. Good examples are a speach or a
lesson. This will cost 5 CHF (without postage).
Splitted content.(for instance, songs or chapters of a
book); this means that a file (for instance, mp3) is created for each
song or chapter. This costs 8 CHF (without postage)
The CD-ROM comes in two different formats:
Data WAV or mp3 Format (a CD-ROM that can be read on a PC,
for instance with Windows Media Player or RealPlay)
Audio CD Format, if you want to listen to the CD at home or
in the car. This is the usual choice.
The mp3 files can now be downloaded directly from our
server, without waiting for the snail-mail [since Apr 9th 2006]
The recording is always analyzed to identify parts that need our intervention. For instance, if the volume of a part is to high it is turned down, or only the amplitude of certain frequencies is reduced depending on the case.
Noise is dealt with apart; there are two basic kinds of it, which require a different treatment:
constant noise, for example caused by a bad microphone
sudden knocks, falls, coughing.
But is it true that the quality of the recording gets better? Here is a small, recent example:

Old vinyl records and long playings
With old vinyl records it is often the case that there are too many clicks and pops.
We remove them cautiously with our specialized software.
